I am a retired category 1 and professional racer, and category 1 official. I have had alot of fun racing, and I have also given back to racing by coaching, managing teams, doing 4 years time in the USCF Board of Directors, and generally helping to improve racing and riding for everyone.
Since I live in Colorado, USA and work full time, I spent some time on a trainer. In season, I did trainer intervals on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. In the winter, I was on the trainer up to 2-3 weeks of rides at a time.
Beginning July 2000, I became the Team Director for the Tokyo Joes Professional Cycling team, replacing the original director, for a variety of reasons. There are several large barriers to entry into professional racing. The team provided resources to selected racers, enabling them with the opportunity to compete on the North American professional racing circuit.
The team was also an advertising company that provided a form of advertising that is effective and memorable.

How did race videos happen to me?
During breakfast before a stage of SuperWeek 1999, we got onto the topic of needing new videos to watch. One thing lead to another and I decided I could make some new videos for us.
After alot of trial and error, I had created a way to film a race from on a bike in that race. The films are the real thing! You are in a Professional Men's race. A warning to parents and children: Parts of the films are "graphic", no stunt doubles were used and some racers were injured in the filming of these videos.
